How to turn on sound for calls and vibration off for notifications in Android

I’m turning off vibrations from notifications on a Samsung Device.

I’m going to keep the intro short. The fun talk will be below the tutorial as 90% of users don’t come here for my talk.
Do you know that from recipes you search on the internet? You have to scroll a mile before you finally find the recipe list. Or am I already talking too much?

My screenshots are from a Samsung device. The screenshots and steps may not exactly match other devices, but it should be about the same.

Let’s turn on off vibrations from notifications in Android.

Drag the buttons from top to bottom.
Then keep the Sound button pressed until the Settings open.

Here we have two options.
I have underlined option one in the screenshot with an orange line.

This option is not entirely part of the tutorial, but because it is about phone vibration I wanted to mention it anyway.
With this option you can turn off vibration for phone calls.

Open option two Vibration intensity to continue with the tutorial.

Here you will find the options to turn off vibrations for Incoming calls, Notifications, Touch interaction.

You can move the bar with your finger from nothing to a lot of vibration.

If we stick to the tutorial, we move the notifications bar all the way to the right. Vibration is now off for Applications.

With phone calls you still have vibration.

So, I had this issue since we start using Microsoft Teams @ work.

Normally there is a setting in the application where you can turn off vibrations.

In Microsoft Teams you also had this option, but to my dismay, this option doesn’t work. The setting is no longer in the application either.

I’m in the standby group. This means that I can be called 24/7 for 7 days once in a while. I set my mobile to sound so that I wake up at night.

The disadvantage is, if the phone rings at 1 am and you are sitting until 7 in the morning, you do not want to be awakened at 8:30 am by the Microsoft Teams application because a colleague has called in sick.

Why do I actually have vibration on for notifications? It’s not like I never check my phone. And a notification can never be necessary, right? So the vibration can be turned off for notifications… My life has never been better!
