How to fix ‘WiFi not turning on’ in Windows 10.
I already say one of the thousand solutions in the title.
That is because a WiFi problem can be caused by so many things.
I cannot name them all myself and unfortunately, I cannot list them all in a tutorial.
I have highlighted the solution for myself below.
Let’s fix ‘WiFi won’t turn on‘ for new devices.
I already say new devices because this happened with my new laptop. Does the same apply to you?
The tutorial below is divided into 2 tutorials.
One is for the techies among us and the other is for the dummies among us with screenshots. Both show the same steps.
Let’s fix ‘WiFi not enabled‘ for the techies among us.
Go to Start and search for Device Manager.
Open the Device Manager and then click on Network Adapters tab.
Find your WiFi Network Adapter and right click on it.
Choose Properties.
Go to the Advanced Tab and search for 802.11n / ac Wireless Mode Channel Width. Change Auto to 20Mhz.
My WiFi won’t enable, help me fix it! For the dummies among us.
Go to Start and search for Device Manager.

Open the Device Manager and then click on Network Adapters tab.
Find your Network Adapter. As you can see in the screenshot, the name contains something like “Wireless Network Adapter”.

Choose Properties.

Go to the Advanced Tab and search for 802.11n / ac Wireless Mode Channel Width. Change Auto to 20Mhz.

Restart your device and see if it fixed your WiFi disabled issue.
Did this not fix your WiFi issues?
Sorry, unfortunately this is a problem that can be due to so many different things that it cannot always be summarized in 1 blog post.
Or look at this post from Microsoft.
If you do find the solution please leave it in the comments.
